# Why I am building tuinontwerp.app

> Loran builds tuinontwerp.app. After his new-build garden was laid, he missed advice and one place to work on the design together.

I'm Loran. I'm married, and I have a daughter who is one and a half.

When we bought our house, the garden was completely empty. It was a new build, so there was nothing but clay and sand. We hired a garden designer and a landscaper, and after that the garden was done.

Looking back, there were a few things we would rather have done differently. We would have liked advice on them, and we never got it.

The process itself took a lot of time too: taking measurements first, then sending every change back and forth over WhatsApp. What I missed was one place where we could both work on the plan.

That is why I started building tuinontwerp.app, and it is what I work on now.

## What you can do today

You start from your own plot, to scale, and draw the garden yourself.

## Where I am taking it

One plan you work on together with your designer or landscaper. That is not possible yet.
